The Department of Sociology in collaboration with Suicide Prevention Action Network (SPAN) Project, National Mental Health Programme, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of Sikkim organised the fifth monthly screening programme for the year 2025 on Tuesday, 14th October in the college library.
Around 175 first year UG students from the Social Sciences and Humanities stream participated in the exercise. The screening process was conducted by 11 student screeners from the Departments of Sociology, Lepcha and History along with 3 counsellors from Gangtok and Ranipool Upper Primary Health Centres (UPHCs). Dr. Nancy C. Lhasungpa, Department of Sociology, NBBGC was present to ensure smooth conduct of the programme.
